billclausen, it's like Stephen Colbert says -- "Reality has a well-known liberal bias".

jasonmcd sez: "Homosexuals who adopt will leave the children at a disadvantage because they lack either the male or the female role model. That is all I am going to say about that."
I'm a straight married parent, and we know a couple of families of same-sex parents who have adopted or "test tube" kids. Parenting's a challenge no matter what the circumstances, and any kid is lucky to have two (or more) people who care about him or her. From what these parents have told me, providing role models of the "missing" sex outside their family is something they make a point to do. Subtract that, and our experiences as parents are far, far more similar than they are different.
And their kids are great. And, not too surprisingly, far more tolerant than the average kid when it comes to dealing with people who are "different".
Get outside your circle, get to know some gay families, Jason. You may find your prejudices disappear faster than you can believe.

So I suppose you're not voting for McCain, who cheated on his first wife, divorced her, and married the next one six weeks later, are you? Goodness, who's that leave you with?

Raise taxes on people making over 300K a year, or cut education and services that benefit the neediest? I'm glad the Dems have dug in their heels.

Ah, yes. Well, then she was probably referring to me. I also like to wear black socks with my shorts while I watch the Olsen twins on TV and cut my hair with a flowbee. If I wasn't so busy, I would probably be horribly, horribly offended.

If she had time to go sit in court, she wouldn't need to speed in the first place, don't ya think?

It might be cool if there was a way to apply the karate method of recognition (colored belts) to team sports. Where your accomplishment is incremental, and becomes more about you vs. yourself than the other team.
Like if AYSO or YMCA or whoever awarded a patch for each season of play, and you wore it on your uniform or a jacket or something. And there could be extra ones for perfecting certain skills or winning competitions or whatever.
