DLG park has too many negative vibes with the evil News Suppress standing there. McCaw wants the plaza to benefit her business, she doesn't care about what is best for the neighborhood and pedestrians. So she threatens to sue the city about remodeling the plaza, and she sues about the Brown Act violations. It just wastes taxpayer dollars, the money we pay through parking tickets and utility taxes, money that's dwindling because of the state budget problems.

Also, since El Stupido wrote about Taxin Jackson, now the Strickland numb-nuts are using that slogan against Jackson. What if Strickland wins? The News Suppress will have helped him, and he's not a good candidate who cares about the environment. He's an irritating Republican. The News Suppress is bad for the community, in so many ways.

The Japanese show is totally cool. Can't U appreciate that KCSB is the only radio station where you can hear Japanese music, with the dude talking japanese? I'm tuned in for alternative music and news. arigato, baby.

Dudes, I hear the former NP news reporters are asking for readers and advertizers to boycott the paper. A business owner should ask himself/herself why place ads in a paper where editorials are untrue? If the editorials have false info, then maybe the news stories do too.

Also, during Gap Fire evacuations, very few people were relying on the NP. They weren't a free website, they didn't have the army of reporters they used to have. sad, sad, sad. ... Now Travis going off deep end and making up stories.

I'd like to make a comment to any of our youth reading this article and blog. Please don't fight against yourselves. Fight against the 'man,' the system. It's not about you being Mexican or Latino. It's about class and inequality. Some people have money, thus education and opportunities. If you were born into poverty, you can get out of it. Do take advantage of the city-sponsored programs. As boring as school is, you have to play the game and graduate. When you get to SBCC, you can take classes that are fun and interesting. Multi-media, art, computers, graphic design.

Why do Latino boys fight each other? These are not your enemies. Your enemy is racism and classism. Your enemy is people who don't want you to have political power; people who don't care about your future or earning potential.

Don't fight each other. Fight for your place in this world.

I have not smoked that much yet today, but I do know it is FARREN Road.

Ferren was a famous guy from UCSB who moved back to New Jersey a few years ago.

Measure V rocked. Geez, 70 percent of the voters supported it, and only Travis Armstrong had negative things to say. What a dope. Once again, he's out of touch with reality and with the community. Even the numb-nutted taxpayers association got this one right. I just may take an adult ed class and improve my mind.

Men and their macho hormones have messed up everything. Can we hope Hillary Clinton would bring a woman's intelligence and perspective to domestic and international affairs? I don't know, she seems so 'establishment,' but I'd rather take my chances with her, try something new. She might really care about health care reform, education, peace on earth. ... Anyway, it looks like Obama will be our 'man.' We'd better hope he can do the right job. happy mother's day.
