D.J. Palladino
D.J. Palladino writes about the arts, food, and popular culture. A former staff writer, editor, and long-time film reviewer, he has been associated with The Independent and its predecessor, the Santa Barbara News & Review, since 1979. A freelance writer, Palladino also directs the UCSB-funded Magic Lantern Film series in Isla Vista and is an advisor to student-run Word Magazine. He lives on the Mesa with his unbelievably indulgent spouse, the artist and educator Diane Arnold. His labrador Shadow barks too much but has a sweet face.
