Horse Sense-itive Equine Evac, an all volunteer program that started back in the 1990 Painted Cave Fire, is a Santa Barbara based organization formed to give aid, rescue, and care for large animals displaced in times of emergency. Where did they get that info about the evac warnings being lifted? Montecito Fire, SB County and KEYT all updated at around 12:30 and it looks like the evac orders and warnings are still in place.

It would be great if they have been lifted, but they didn't list a source at Planet Santa Barbara, so I'm just wondering....

It appears that Planet Santa Barbara is correct. The County of SB info page on the fire has the evacuation area as contracted quite a bit, and they no longer list any areas as under evacuation warning.

Two classes of caution issued by County EOC (which, in the harmonious spirit of our time is now flacking as the "Joint Information Center"):

* Evacuation WARNINGS (which are lifted)
* MANDATORY EVACUATION ORDERS (still in place).
