Tuesday morning Nederlander Concerts announced that acclaimed actor and comedian Robin Williams would be making a stop at Santa Barbara’s Arlington Theatre on Wednesday, February 11. Williams is best known for his early television roles on Saturday Night Live and Mork & Mindy and his illustrious film career, including starring roles in Good Morning, Vietnam, Mrs. Doubtfire, Good Will Hunting, One Hour Photo, and Night at the Museum.

The comedian’s February show will be one of a string of live dates on his Weapons of Self-Destruction Tour. The shows will also mark Williams’ first live stand-up performances since 2002’s tour culminating (and Emmy-award nominated) HBO special, Robin Williams: Live on Broadway.

Tickets for this very special night of comedy go on sale this Saturday, November 15 at 10 a.m. Ticket prices range from $58 to $98 and will be available at all Ticketmaster locations, including F.Y.E., Macy’s, Ritmo Latino, and the Arlington Theatre Box Office. To charge by phone, call 583-8700, or visit ticketmaster.com.

Who would want to see this goofball with his same old schtick that he hasn't changed since Mork and Mindy is beyond me.

One of the funniest people ever. Can't believe some would criticize his genius with comments only fools would say (why rain on the parade?).

As someone who has actually attended a couple of Robin William's stand-up shows, I agree with you, spacey.

As to your astonishment that brickbats would be tossed at this gifted improvisational comedian, may I introduce you to our resident contrarian and ideologue, AShaw...

Google Robin Williams and golf - funniest bit and still a classic. Can not wait for the show. To Ashaw, I say Pa Shaw
