Coast Restaurant & Bar

Coast Restaurant & Bar

31 W. Carrillo Street, Santa Barbara, 805-879-9100
Californian, Downtown
Average Meal Price: Delivery: No

Eat. Drink. Coast. This breezy motto animates the newly “hatched” eclectic addition to the downtown dining scene. Chef Fermin Arias has imported the beachfront grace and All-American-meets-California chic that has made Coast Santa Monica such a success, but tweaked the experience to give it a true Santa Barbara feel.

The cuisine at Coast takes the very best of farm fresh and its Pacific Ocean location. Savor Coast’s morning specialties of Vanilla Waffles with Orange Cream, French Toast Brioche or Eggs Benedict with Chipotle Hollandaise for weekend brunch or a mid-week breakfast meeting. A glass of Pinot Noir from a local winery together with appetizers like Grilled Country Bread Bruschetta or Red Snapper Tacos make the perfect accompaniment to an evening out with friends. The exceptional Raw Bar menu offers some of California’s freshest oysters, crabs and clams and entrée salads like the Niçoise and Caesar can stand alone as a lunch or light dinner.

If you have the time to soak up Santa Barbara and linger for a long lunch or a dinner, the diversity of the Coast menu will leave everyone at your table surprised, gratified and happily full. Spaghetti Pomodoro, Dungeness Crab, Shrimp a la Plancha with vine-ripen tomatoes — every palate will find joy at Coast, including those who crave “comfort” classics like flat iron steak, fish & chips, and pulled BBQ chicken. For a pleasurable meal, a lazy weekend brunch or to make doing business a pleasure, “coast” in now to Santa Barbara’s newest dining and gathering hotspot.
