Here’s one of those tough quizzes: what do the Granada, wild boar potstickers, Thai papaya salad with chicken, Kung Pao-style short ribs, and chocolate fondue with strawberries all have in common? They are all crucial elements of an upcoming fundraiser for Health Care for All-CA OneCare Media Campaign (healthcareforall.org), a grassroots organization that advocates for fair affordable health care access for everyone in the state. That menu, featuring some of Julia Child’s favorites, will be overseen by Chef JP Luvanvi, who has worked in numerous kitchens across town including DISH, the Fishouse, Chad’s, and Le Bon Café, and often prepared food for the late, great food star Child. The event occurs Friday, April 23, at 7 p.m., but tickets are on sale now. Call 636-5011 or email Shannon at OutsideTheBox@ymail.com.

I'm in! Great food, great venue, and a great cause! I've been to other events that JP has put on, and that guy can cook!
