Bowl Announces James Taylor Show

Famed Singer-Songwriter to Take Stage in August

The Santa Barbara Bowl announced today that celebrated singer and songwriter James Taylor will be performing Friday, August 1. The evening will jumpstart Taylor’s 32-date tour and will include music from his new album, which will be released this fall. The upcoming album will feature covers of Big Mama Thornton, Chuck Berry, and Junior Walker. Taylor has won over 40 gold, platinum and multi-platinum awards, five Grammy Awards, and sold over 40 million albums. In 2000, Taylor was inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as well as the Songwriters Hall of Fame. He was also deemed MUSICARES Person of the Year in February 2006 by the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences.

Tickets go on sale Saturday, March 15 at noon and can be found at all TicketMaster outlets such as: F.Y.E., Macy’s, Ritmo Latino, the Arlington Theatre and the Santa Barbara Bowl Box Office. To charge by phone call 805-583-8700 or order online at ticketmaster.com.
