Santa Barbara police have stopped the investigation on the gunshot-wounded body of a 39-year-old male found on Sunday afternoon near Thornbury Park, the undeveloped space between the Mesa and TV Hill which is adjacent to and sometimes also referred to as Honda Valley Park. On Monday, the police announced that it was indeed a suicide, a confirmation made easy by the handgun that was located nearby. The body was discovered first by hikers in the area who were walking in the park near the 900 block of Miramonte Drive. The name of the deceased has not yet been released.
