It was announced last week that the National Association of Schools of Music Commission on Accreditation has given an associate membership title to Westmont College. The acceptance comes after a four-year-long review period, and brings Westmont into the ranks of some 600 colleges and universities with prestigious music programs across the U.S.
GROUP DYNAMICS
The Santa Barbara Contemporary Arts Forum has issued an open call for artists in the tri-county area for a group exhibition, slated to take place in 2009. Five entrants will be selected by a panel of jurors and artists. Materials must be received by 5 p.m. on Friday, September 26. GUIDING LIGHT
The Santa Barbara Museum of Art is currently looking for volunteer docents. Interested parties need not have nay formal or previous background in the arts, and a comprehensive training session will be offered one day a week from September to May.
