Description: Come away for a special retreat weekend filled with intimate space and time to explore the Seven Mansions of Teresa of Avila’s Interior Castle. Teresa is one of Christianity’s great mystics and teachers (1515 – 1582). The Interiors Castle was her final work and one of the greatest literary works on experiential mysticism and contemplation in Christianity. Together we will explore the contemporary contemplative journey in light of Teresa’s timeless insights into the human soul and its journey towards God.
Susan Koumis is a member of the faculty of Contemplative Outreach. She mentors servant-leaders to the Contemplative Outreach movement, offering leadership formation programs. She is a Pastoral Minister and has been active in Spiritual Direction and Interfaith Dialogue.
