Description: Most people are surprised to learn that Santa Barbara has over a dozen different bat species. Join us for an intimate look at "the night shift"--the bug catchers who take over after the last bird has roosted. The talk will include photos, videos, sounds and little-known details about the fascinating natural histories of our local flying mammals. Host Mary Wenzel will also share the latest tips from the Bat House Research Project for those who would like to welcome bats to their backyard.
