Sister Christine is Director of Human Resources and grant writer at St. Vincent’s in Santa Barbara, CA which provides transitional housing and services for single Moms in a welfare to work program and an early learning center.

Description: Sister Christine Bowman O.S.F. since 1969 has been a member of the Franciscan Sisters of the Sacred Heart–an institute of women religious founded in 1866–doing works of neighborly love in Illinois, Indiana, California and Brazil. She has been on the Board of St. Anne’s for over 16 years, and Vice Chair since 1995. She is an RN with an MS in nursing and an MBA.
Locally, Sister Christine is President-Elect Nominee for the Rotary Club of Santa Barbara Sunrise, on the Board of Directors of the Santa Barbara Navy League and choir member of Old Mission Santa Barbara.
She will be signing and discussing copies of her new book, St. Anne's Century of Service- Legacy of Love.
