Description: Local area museums and cultural organizations are celebrating International Museum Day and invite the community to join them. Institutions such as the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History, Santa Barbara Maritime Museum, Santa Barbara Botanic Garden, Santa Barbara Trust for Historic Preservation, Rancho La Patera and Stow House, and Old Mission Santa Barbara Museum will all be offering free admission or special promotions to its visitors on Sunday, May 18. Other organizations such as the Santa Barbara Museum of Art, Elverhoj Museum of History & Art, Wildling Art Museum, Santa Barbara Historical Museum, University Art Museum, and South Coast Railroad Museum are typically free this day or appreciate a donation for admission, but are also encouraging visitors to support the spirit of this day.
